For the pic, I mainly used the pen tool to render the colour lines first by stroking, followed by path fills on a separate layer.
I love the result but it takes FOREVER in Photoshop, that is why I treated myself (for Xmas) with Adobe Illustrator as it can do stroke and fill at the same time while varying line weight, etc. Plus it's vectored, not bitmapped. I'd like to use this for the comic page but I have to devote sometime to it.
I could have used the tablet but it's just as easy to use the mouth to control the B-curves handles on the pen tool.
